Action Teams

We love empowering students to lead and Action Teams are the primary way we do that. This is a club of students that meets regularly and gets to be on the frontlines of the Something to EatTM event. Additionally, these students are trained in leadership, social responsibility and are challenged to think of creative and sustainable ways to meet community needs.

Our Action Team students lead their fellow students in a hands-on experience that responds directly to a need in their community.

Action Team students:

  • Meet for 30 minutes every week, for 14 weeks, to prepare for their projects and learn skills needed to address community needs. (usually during lunch)
  • Set up and clean up each project.
  • Commit to complete the Compassion Challenge.
  • Receive personalized booklets and shirts as a part of their participation.
  • Invited to a year end celebration with the rest of the Action Team participants throughout the county.
